Media coverage of rape cases: content analysis on women’s representation in Vecherniy Bishkek newspaper

Abstract

The senior thesis considers the investigation of the image of women in the mass media of Kyrgyzstan representing rape cases. The study used the qualitative research method: content analysis of the local newspaper, Vecherniy Bishkek. The analysis covers nineteen articles on women’s rape published within the year of 2013.
