Abstract: This paper will examine the reasoning behind the lack of women judges at the Afghan Supreme Court level. I will analyze whether the non-appointment of women Supreme Court Justices is intentional due to political and social reasons or whether there are laws that prevent women from rising to the high judicial positions.
