Abstract: The article focuses on research models which reflect how a literary text semantics presentation overlaps the sense of human existence that is revealed in personality types appearing in psychological and literary concepts. The analysis is based on The Strange Case of Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde by R. L. Stevenson and contrasts the approaches of Roman Jacobson and Vladimir Nabokov.
